Introduction

Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder, or a group of disorders, marked by severely impaired thinking, emotions and behaviours. The person concerned is not able to tell the difference between what is real and what is imaginary. 

According to the NHS in UK, schizophrenia is:   ‘A long-term mental health condition that causes a range of different psychological symptoms, including hallucinations, delusions, muddled thoughts based on hallucinations or delusions, and changes in behaviour’.
