Debating government policies is an important part of the process. In this session you are going to prepare your debate ready for delivery.

Begin with ten or more arguments that you believe are persuasive for your side. Then reduce these down to the two arguments for your opening presentation and to use as running themes throughout.

When you are deciding which the ‘best’ are, think about whether they are the arguments that you think can withstand criticism from your opponents.

You will learn

  2. Identify the main reasons for supporting teh increase in the age of criminal responsibility
  3. Identify the main reasons for opposing the increase in the age of criminal responsibility
